My pal Larry Weingarten put me in touch with your web site. Looks like you are doing lots of useful things, Dave. I may be able to contribute to the movement from here in Boulder, CO which has somewhat different weather but plenty of crummy housing stock in need of having new life breathed into it…
I plan to show some of our automated insulating shutters at the ACEEE conference in Monterrey in August; maybe we could huddle at your place or Larry’s and share ideas. Best wishes, Larry Kinney
Larry
I would love to meet up with you and Larry. I’m afraid it will be too close to my move to Virginia. Keep me posted on the date and we’ll see…. Would love to have some of the “Army” in Boulder. I’m here to help.
True Fact. Virginia here we come…. Just following the grandbabies. Doug got a job a Patrick Henry College. about 45 minutes west of DC. In horse country.
Hey Dave, thanks for all the useful information on your site and over the phone. I signed up for a cyberhomes account and for some reason the home we talked about does not show any results. Any suggestions? Let me get this right, you too are moving to Virginia?
Hi Dave,
We missed you at the meet up in Sacramento, April 24. We understood it was the plane not coorperating. We were hoping to hear what you learned from the Affordable Comfort Conference. Is green remodel going to be more affordable soon? If yes, in what way? I often hear contractors say green remodel is expensive that’s why very few homeowners are doing it.
I haven’t been having the best luck with airplanes lately…. Sorry I missed the meet-up. I heard a good time was had by all… About green remodeling. Stop listening to contractors. And especially stop listening to mainstream media. Just look at the numbers. In my thinking there may be no such thing as “green” remodeling….. Only remodeling to certain performance standards. Like 1 CFM leakage per square foot. Or 4% duct leakage. That’s not green. It’s just math. No special materials required. Just quality workmanship… measured and proven.
Mr. Robinson
My brother Tony Nelson (Santa Cruz) and I are very interested in your program. Are you doing anything in the San Diego area?
