 Are You Dumb Enough to Be Rich?: The Amazingly Simple Way to Make Millions in Real Estate —This book has the best explanation of “private money” financing: what it is, how it works and how to find it.   Bill Barnett is the Real Deal, an expert in the trenches who has done it and is still doing it.

Flipping Houses For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance)) —Good coverage of the basics, as you would expect with Dummies books.  This book can help get you more comfortable getting ready to pull the trigger on your first flip. The advice is for standard flipping.   You’ll have to add the Energy Wise components yourself from other books and this website.

FLIP: How to Find, Fix, and Sell Houses for Profit —This book is the best I’ve seen on the process of Flipping.   The authors break down the process into 50 steps and then put them in order for the most efficient flipping process.   The division into Good, Better, & Best types of projects and the different treatment of each is valuable.

HOME PERFORMANCE

Residential Energy: Cost Savings and Comfort for Existing Buildings (5th Edition) —This is recognized as the “Bible” of Home Performance and is issued to students of most Home Performance courses.  It includes lots of formulas and math.  When you’ve mastered the material in this book, you will be in the top 5% of all Home Performance Practitioners

No-Regrets Remodeling: Creating a Comfortable, Healthy Home That Saves Energy —This book is out of print but Amazon is still showing some available.  It should definitely be on your shelf.  It is less technical and an easier read than Residential Energy.  The two make a good set.
